The combination of mountain peaks of the Sierra Blanca tucked in against the coastline promises a very mild winter with an average maximum temperature of 22.8º C and a minimum of 13º C. Summers are dry and hot and can reach temperatures that go well into the 30's. Fortunately, due to low humidity, the heat is comfortable and not sticky or overbearing.

The main attractions not to be missed are Funny Beach, Fuengirola Zoo, Selwo Safari Park, Selwo Marina, Mijas and Torremolinos Aquaparks and Tivoli World Amusement Park. Gibraltar is just one hour by car, Málaga - 45 minutes, Ronda - 60 minutes and Mijas - 35 minutes.

LA CANADA (pronounced La-Can-Yarda) This is a very large shopping and leisure complex situated on the northern side of the A7/N340 road in Marbella. Go down the main road towards Marbella for about 10/12 Km, when you go under the motorway join the RH slip road and La Canada lies to your right. This is a very modern shopping centre with many shops, restaurants and children’s amusements.

PARQUE MIRAMAR This shopping centre and cinema complex is situated on the north side of the A7/N340 at western end of Fuengirola. It can be found on the left hand side of the road just after the castle that you pass on the right hand side as you approach Fuengirola.
